Normally I don’t post things like this, but this needs to be seen.
A family from my hometown had to say goodbye to their beloved pit bull recently. He was shot SIX times by a police officer who felt “threatened” by the dog. (Who was playing in their yard, minding his own business) This is a petition to have the officer fired. Not only did he fire at a harmless animal, but he recklessly fired. There were other animals and children in the area. His negligence and carelessness should NOT simply be forgotten.
Please take a moment to read their story and sign this petition. Thanks to him, a family is mourning over the loss of a loved one.
“I’m never gonna wait that extra twenty minutes to text you back, and I’m never gonna play hard to get when I know your life has been hard enough already. When we all know everyone’s life has been hard enough already, it’s hard to watch the game we make of love, like everyone’s playing checkers with their scars, saying checkmate whenever they get out without a broken heart.”—Andrea Gibson (via constantneverland)
